Check ‘em on the flip side.   Making a quick follow up on two successful single releases ( Did It Again , Make It Slay ), Da Lyricist finally delivers his awaited EP Side B . The BCSC head honcho took his time to carefully craft the five song project which was produced mainly by StandOutMusik .  Side B is a thoughtful body of work that illustrates the song writing skills possessed by Da Lyricist and shows his knack for storytelling, an element that seems to be lost and forgotten in today’s music. In each of his verses he proves his lyrical aptitude while covering an array of subject matters including relationships, the social pressures of marriage, oral specialists, overindulgent consumerism, and of course the party life.     “I put on for my city.” Just as he should, Don Slay continues to promote the recordings from his mixtape Big Crowd Small Circle which debuted late last year. After completing a circuit of heavy promotion in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Toronto and Puerto Rico, the 24-year-old Brooklyn emcee is now ready to put on a show in the Big Apple. And so he will. The performance is slated to take place on December 3 at 8 p.m. at Santos Party House and will be presented by internationally known DJ Cadillac Jack , who co-hosted the first Center Stage showcase alongside VH1 reality TV star Tara Wallace. This year’s celebrity guest will be DJ Envy of Power 105's The Breakfast Club. It’s almost a certainty that there will be a number of other known celebs in attendance at the event.   Time to get that cash up ‘cause it’s another working day. Head honcho Da Lyricist and his Big Crowd Small Circle affiliates take over the club in the new video to his party anthem “ Make It Slay ” featuring the camp’s first in line artist, Don Slay . It’s the second single Da Lyricist has released this quarter and it’s slated to appear on his soon to be released and highly anticipated EP Side B . They say make it rain, I say make it Slay.   After releasing the first single off of his forthcoming EP just weeks ago, Da Lyricist has wasted no time in delivering a banging follow-up record. The previous effort, “ Did It Again ” produced by StandOutMusik , took off as soon as it surfaced onto the blogosphere and continued to build steam when it got picked up by radio stations such as F.L.O Empire Radio . But the train doesn’t stop there.  On this new single, a Gummy Beatz -produced track called “Make It Slay,” Da Lyricist enlists younger brother Don Slay who delivers a mesmeric hook and adds a swaggering second verse. It’s a bouncy club song that is sure to get any party jumping, and even if people aren’t moving, the speakers certainly will. Both tracks are slated to appear on the upcoming EP, Side B . NYC's Got Talent. As promised to you last week, DJ Cadillack Jack releases his exclusively crafted mixtape Center Stage NYC 2 . The project features 12 songs from some of NYC's undiscovered talent and offers a variety of musical sounds. Some of the featured acts include Brooklyn rapper Don Slay , Reggaeton sensation Flama , and R&B standout Bryan Poe't . A date for the Center Stage NYC 2 live showcase will be announced soon and will feature each artist along with a live band and special celebrity co-host. Don Slay Hits Center Stage. Since the release of his debut mixtape Big Crowd Small Circle , young Brooklyn spitter Don Slay has been working relentlessly to prove himself a mainstay in the hip-hop industry. To many a surprise, his diligent efforts are paying off. Slay's talents were recently discovered by internationally known DJ Cadillac Jack , who in months before co-hosted the first Center Stage showcase alongside Tara Wallace of the VH1 reality TV series Love & Hip-Hop . And once again, DJ Cadillac Jack has pulled together some local unsigned talent to present Center Stage NYC 2. While a date for the showcase has yet to be set, the mixtape is slated to drop next Tuesday, July 29 at midnight. Don Slay's lead track "Expressway" off of Big Crowd Small Circle is one of the 12 songs featured on the tape.
