Today, we continue to expand on a classic and put a new spin on it. For the month of September, Varn Curtis presents another #Groundwork20 playlist! Updated, Varn and his Groundwork brand continues to choose the top 20 songs for the month from artists featured on VoicelessMusic.com and across our social media networks and promote them here! In this current era of music, the drill sound has begun to dominate the Hip Hop genre. While some of it has been a blend of Diddy like sampling with that sped up rapping that made us sick of these industry plants (looking at you  CJ ), there are some tracks worth putting on repeat.  For former Voiceless Music Awards nominee Nazzy , it’s all in the details and changing with the times. Subsequently coining the genre ‘DrillnB’,  combining this era rap tones to R&B lyrics, the Upstate New York native has created a catchy love song with the full drill bop.  Throw in a Tik Tok dance coming soon, and we are sure the Letter to My Exes MC is looking for viral status with his new visual. The 2019  Voiceless Music Awards  live show was subsequently cancelled by owner DJ Mainstream… but it doesn’t mean we cannot celebrate the winners! The BREAKOUT Artist of the Year award is all about whose next up! Either a future multi-time winner or future Artist of the Year, this award is all about the next generation of winners! The 2019 Voiceless Music Award winner for BREAKOUT Artist of the Year is Nazzy of the legendary This Is Upstate collective! Congrats to Nazzy  on his first win in Voiceless Music Awards history!

Yesterday, Voiceless Music boss DJ Mainstream once again got the underground music scene talking as he release two of the seven upcoming video announcements of the 14 categories for the 2019 Voiceless Music Awards ! Starting with BREAKOUT Artist of the Year ... and then MC of the Year ... Voiceless Music once again looks to be the talk of the town with the assistance of Every Dollar Counts  own Notes  developing these videos. So what's next for the big show?  Well, we can confirm for the next 5 categories, over the next 5 weeks, they will be release via our Instagram. July 22nd was a memorable day! DJ Tiff Dollaz released the most anticipated cypher of the summer, "This is Upstate." Within, the first 24 hours,  the video had about 1.5k views. Simultaneously,  Anthony Obas curated his second event the same day, "The Voiceless Meet Up", which provided an experience for everyone! Now, the two face off in one of the most significant events in the independent music scene.   This is Upstate: Syracuse vs. Utica    A Battle to determine which 315 can put on a better show for the people.  Representing Utica are:  Razzle Nazzy  Wanblvd  Representing Syracuse are  Ya Boy Majik  Justin Witter/Mike O' Leary  Tanksley    Each artist will have a 20 minute set and can do whatever they want during that set.  Bring other artists,  create a mash pit, perform with a live band, whatever. I have to admit, I knew nothing of  Nazzy  before meeting DJ Tiff Dollaz earlier this year. But after highly impressing me with his snippet on the #ThisIsUpstate Cypher for 2018 Voiceless Music Awards  I was prepared to hear more. So I'm calling it early, Naz is primed to breakout after releasing this very impactful release of Autumn's Calling . We are in an age where most R&B projects aren't much on substance but this is different. Nazzy has hit that stride where the new era 'trap soul' and 'Pop & B' are whole heartedly accepted, evident on such tracks as "Your Body" and "Summertime Vibes".  But so far, a stand out has to be the cook up  Tha Bakery delivered to us on "Whip Music" which shows off that seamless chemistry from the cypher between Nazzy, Generic and Leeky . Starting next month Voiceless Music is adding another way to promote artists! We have decided to hold an interactive contest each and every month to decide who is Voiceless Music Artist of the Month !  Each month our company will collectively decide the three nominees and then post it on our Instagram page for fans to vote. Voting will last for one week and the winner will be announced on the first of the month.  Winners will receive a personalized feature article, have one of their songs featured on that months Spotify playlist, and a three-picture spread on our Instagram page.   We would like to congratulate our FIRST ever nominees Kony Brooks , Kay Anthony , and Nazzy ! The winners will represent Voiceless Music for the month of September.  Voting will be live Saturday, August 25th,  at 12 pm 

The 2018 Voiceless Music Awards  goes down in August 29, 2018 live from  DOHA Nightclub  in Queens, NY featuring an exclusive opening performance from 3 -time Voiceless Music Awards  nominees  Thot Boys! And to prepare we are doing  5  cyphers leading up to the epic show featuring  WVMR  radio shows and two epic special features including today's feature... Voiceless Music recognizes talent all over the world, but for some reason people ignore the way Upstate New York puts on for music. So with DJ Tiff Dollaz at the helm, she puts together an fire roster of superstars including LeekyXIV, Wan Blvd, Nazzy, Generic and Razzle ... it's time that upstate gets recognize for their greatness! Cornhill, New York is the home of the next up and coming superstar Nazzy .  Starting in seventh grade it has been a long journey for the artist. With an early influence from R&B music including stars like Mariah Carey and Chris Brown the artists rejects the label of rapper and likes to be referred to as simply an artist. "I'm just an artist, producer, and songwriter" said Naz .  The artist credits his rise in the 315 to his connections with Bruvahood Music Group (BMG) . The group was started years ago with fellow artists Rah ,  Sin , Onaje , and Noa . In the past months, Naz has parted ways with BMG but still has love for all included.
