Voiceless Corner: Welcome To Suplex City

If your not a wrestling fan... or at least living under a rock (pun intended), then you would not get why this... And this... And this... But for those who live for the squared circle knew cousin of The Rock and heir to the Samoan heritage Roman Reigns took on the man known as Brock Lesnar this past Sunday for WWE's World Heavyweight Championship in what can only be described as Roman's entry into "Suplex City". And if you watch Wrestlemania, you would have heard Lesnar coin this now infamous phrase in the middle of the match.  Well fans of music, you finally get why we're featuring this video below... enjoy. A little laugh on April Fools Day from your friends at Voiceless Music.

On tonight's Voiceless Corner on Voiceless Music Radio we discuss the joys of being on the independent scene as Lil Wayne is currently going through label issues with his once considered family, Cash Money.. But before him, 50 Cent and G-Unit, Cam'Ron and the Diplomats, and countless other major label stars have 'crossed over'. Tonight's Voiceless Corner on #VoicelessMusicRadio: Migos & Their "Donation"

Recently Hip-Hop trio Migos was pictured at Atlanta high School Booker T. Washington donating $1000 to them. But they've been ridiculed for their small donation and even the fact they used a "Publisher's Clearinghouse" sized check to give it. Detailed story here . Tonight's question, when is it not enough? As artists is there obligation to give back when you "make it"? Call in 64643400266 and 9292274646! And tune in to Voiceless Music Radio on FLOEmpireRadio.com at 10pm!

Voiceless Corner: Lance Stephenson Drops A "Hot N***A" Freestyle?

Say what you want about Lance Stephenson: He's a spitfire on the court... He's plays like tough the New York-born players before him... He blows in LeBron's ear for fun... But a rapper is the one thing you didn't expect to say about him and yet, today, we drop his "Hot Nigga" freestyle video today. Yep. From NYC to NC with love.

Voiceless Corner: Bart Barker Breaks Internet & Causes Unnecessary Uproar For "Anaconda" Parody

When Nicki Minaj dropped "Anaconda" video a few weeks back, the internet proceeded to convulse on the sight of the artist large posterior (and the many others featured in the video). But anything popular always finds a way to be cover, or parodied.  Enter Bart Barker, who takes the throne as saying he's the "King of Music Video Parodies". But all reigns to the top draw controversy. Barker, who decided remixing the hit song would into a hilarious, deadpan comedy, seemingly broke the internet as his parody video hit 900K views in less than 24 hours (it now sits at over 1.4 million) making it viral across the world. But as all things good on the internet surface, all it takes is one person to try and ruin it.  Enter Hannah Ongley (her Twitter is @HannahOngley , because you will need it).  Who decided to take time out of her day to type up a 232 word, 1319 character article on how Barker's parody is "racist", that the "internet suck...

Voiceless Corner: "A Artist Like Drake Comes Once In A Lifetime" - A Non-D**k-Riding Editorial

I n my post, I stated that Jozay was the first of many to grace the Toronto rapper's "0-100" track. And then I thought about it... How many times have we said this? How many times will we grace Drake with the praise? Let's count the ways.

Voiceless Corner: 50 Cent's Continues His Rise To "Power" With His New Show

Hate the man if you want, 50 Cent continues to make moves similair to the Ice Cube's and Jay Z's before him. While becoming a Hip-Hop megastar early 2000s, 50 branched over to investing in Vitamin Water, sports promotion, headphones and now television as he hooks up with Starz in the new crime drama Power . Serving as executive producer, Mr. Jackson has subsequently taken the gritty streets and brought them to life on our screens. Power stars Naturi Naughton (of 3LW and Notorious fame) who watches her husband Omari Hardwick (everyone's favorite good guy from  Kick-Ass  and current star of  Being Mary Jane )  seemingly split between rising club owner and drug kingpin; making this one interesting  power  couple [pun intended]. With special guests stars Lala Anthony and 50 himself, the show looks to become the new summer favorite since the loss of Entourage [we are not over it yet!]  Check out the video below. Power comes to our scree...

Voiceless Corner: Waiting For Your 'Draft Day'

Do you see the track below? It’s a Drake song; which is the first non-unsigned and non-independent artist track I’ve ever featured on this blog. But its signification carries heavy on what I am speaking about today. The song is “Draft Day”, a ode to the Canadian MC’s athletic friends Johnny Manziel and Andrew Wiggins, who are soon to be major players (in a literal sense) in the NFL and NBA respectively.     But what does it have to do with its feature on our site today? Well you can call the unsigned and independent pool of MCs, songstress’, and rockers as the “high school” and “college” talents of the music industry. Like pro sports, before you get to THE SHOW or the BIG TIME or whatever overused movie-entendre words you want to state, you go through the minors… you go through the rigorous task of making things in best interest of career in music.   Some of the biggest names had to “pay their dues” before getting that call up. Some even went through d...

Voiceless Corner: Wavey's World - Raymond Felton (Untold Truth)

Actor Wavon Waters has always been consistent with releasing his brand of comedy on the regular basis. With a strong social networking following and great quality of videos, Wavey's World  has become a internet sensation. Raymond Felton, the point guard of the New York Knicks, was recently arrested for possession of a weapon (says a lot about a player who can't shoot recently). Today, we give you his parody of the untold truth of Raymond Felton's story. Check out today's Voiceless Corner piece below.

Voiceless Corner: Notorious B.I.G. Meets Beethoven

What happens when you get the original rap kingpin out of do or die Bedstuy... And combine it with the classical music's icon from Germany? In our Voiceless Corner, East Cross Projects and pianist Dan Kreiger blend together the classic stylings of Ludwig van Beethoven with his "Piano Sonata No. 27 in E Minor, Op. 90" with The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Suicidal Thoughts" in one of the coolest combinations we've seen in a long time. Serenade by Biggie... check it out below.

Voiceless Corner: Juicy J Announces His Non-Twerking Winner Of The $50K Scholarship?

When we first heard late last year that the "Bandz A Make Her Dance" rapper Juicy J was doing a twerk contest for a scholarship, a large amount of us collectively rolled our eyes and emphasized the rachetness behind it. But today, via YouTube and WorldstarHipHop, the Academy Award winner & Grammy nominated artist release the video of him announcing the contest winner who by everyone's surprise... didn't have to twerk to win? Yeah, we said it! Check out the video below. In what has to be one of the biggest swerves in any form of contest history, Juicy actually recognize the audacity of such contest and flipped it to support the betterment of our youth. And the benefit went to 19-year-old Zaire Holmes, a bio major and budding MC herself, who will surely use the money better than anyone else who was in this "contest". Lesson here: bands may make some dance, but the smart ones deserve a chance. - DJ Mainstream, Voice Of The Voiceless
