Scorpio P - D.O.B. (The Prequel) (Official Video)

The pandemic may have slowed down the grind of many independent artists across the world, but for the ones who've adapted to their surroundings they've haven't let the pandemic affect their content. That statement embodies who Scorpio P is.  The former multi-time Voiceless Music Awards nominee, via Instagram live, announced a new EP on the way titled Street Food 2 - Visual Merchandising . And with Street Food 2 on the way, he harkens back to the impressive "Dreams of Broadway" by giving us a new visual set as a prequel to the hit single.  Embracing the pandemic ridden streets of New York's famed Broadway, Scorpio P drops today's bar heavy feature visual.  Live from the bright lights and big city, it's the video to "D.O.B. (The Prequel)". Check it out below.

Scorpio P - Blacc Dollaz

Some artists are never satisfied. Yep, those are the ones most dangerous cause your never sure what they’ll do next. That’s Scorpio P . With the much heralded Directors Notes already out, we didn’t expect to hear any new music from the Queens native any time soon (maybe moreso a video). Either way, to celebrate someone’s Independence Day on July 4th, SP drops off this ambitious, pro-black anthem that sounds like he’s still in rare form since dropping his album. With that flirtatious “Indian Flute”-like time and pied piper words dedicated to the African American soul, check out “Blacc Dollaz” below.

Scorpio P - Director's Notes (Album Review)

There’s much to know about the talented Phil Williams. From screenplay writer, director to radio personality, the Queens native has also presented us with impressive music as well. But fresh off the heralded Street Food EP, his debut project Directors Notes looks to swing for the fences. Reviewing this opening act without mentioning the singles “All Day”, “Unchain You” and “Dreams Of Broadway” would be an injustice but those songs didn’t define this album. Let's present this differently: Act 1 : we celebrate his lyrical ability to stand solid with two Voiceless Music Award winners Millszy and Live Johnson . A bonafide street anthem, “Ambition” didn’t need a fancy guest DJ or even any added elements as Scorpio P brings that song alive from chorus to verse... Act 2 : however, it’s the impressive growth from being under the learning tree that comes evident, as Bizzy Bee  and P show enormous chemistry on “Kickin It” which fits perfectly into both MCs style while giving us 2019...

Scorpio P - Mother's Son (Official Video)

Scorpio P literally stepped on the scene last year and set the independent scene is on fire when he dropped Street Food last year.  But the biggest message, in a era of music without anything positives behind it, was the project's biggest single "Mother's Son".  But to present the plight of women in the world today while displaying his never end crusade to become the man his own mother raised, was highlighted in another level in today's visual.  "This video is literally better than some of the mainstream artist in the game today" - Smiley, Zoo Tuesdays Check out Scorpio P's new visual below.

Scorpio P - Street Food (EP Review)

By any means necessary should be the slogan for the Queens MC known as Scorpio P . But from early beginnings at York College to becoming the host of one of the hottest rising radio shows on WVMR radio station, the talent Mr. Williams seems to see no stop sign as he releases his sophomore project, Street Food . Regardless of its simplistic meaning (as explained on WVMR 's Zoo Tuesdays ) or conscious style, Street Food impresses with a careful beat selection and a rhyme style that seems to fall on deaf ears in this current Rap music climate.  And between the harmonic 2017 'Brenda's Got A Baby ' in "Mothers Son" to the soul searching melodic "Moonlight Theory", you can only wish P  give us a little more than a seis pistas EP. But fortunately for you, you can be happy to know its our choice, "One For The Ages", a boom-bastic 90s time travel banger that no only hope its a single but overall gives us hope for a trifecta of gre...
