But for Voiceless Music , it's about standing the test of time and being able to blog like many of the blogs before us. I've done my best to do the proverbial ' fight the good fight' but Lord help me it has not been easy. But now that I've given myself some time to breathe, and have a proper vacation, I figured it was time to change things up again.   Please remember to breathe... It’s a rainy day in New York and per usual, I’m sitting on the wonderfully overpriced Metropolitan Transit Authority’s train heading home. But today feels different. Today, I made a decision. Today, I had just finished updating my pride and joy: VoicelessMusic.com 9 months ago, I closed these doors and this chapter not realizing something essential to this story: I definitely closed the wrong doors. Yes, once again in some form WVMR failed but it didn’t “fail” at teaching me a valuable lesson in branding. To be honest, I think I will call it a rebrand for the final time. Smile on my face, are you happy for me? If you look at the way the world currently, we live in much uncertainty. Everything is subjective, from the way we carry ourselves to the way we spend money. I mean have you seen the price of eggs?! It’s ludicrous. But the one thing that has always stayed uncertain is social media. Yes, the multi faceted tool used by many for the sake of social status, “likes” and comments, and the trivial follow count. Uncertainty runs rampant on social media… We are subjected to repetitive violence, over stated Men v. Women topics, unexplainable phenomenon's in the sky… oh yes and the plethora of ass. So I sat here and wondered how does this brand kick off the new year after being on brand (and off brand) for the majority of the past two years... it's simple: we start from the beginning. As w e continue to evolve as humans, our goals constantly change. Either we’re applying ourselves for a greater purpose, or we are fulfilling our time by taking in the knowledge that is readily available. For me, it’s a little of both with the realization of high key hood motto: fear no man expect the Lord above . Voiceless Music  was (and is) my outlet, my ability to impact the music industry in my own eyes and with my own opinions. This correlated into radio, podcasts and many other avenues. But if I realized anything about the music and entertainment industry, you are what they perceive you. If you provide the world with a fake, hyper tuned version of yourselves, then YOU WILL be exposed. If you are the best true version of yourself “with the volume turned to 100” then you will be rewarded. T...

How it started...   When WVMR New York closed many moons ago, the central idea  I thought was that someone, anyone, would eventually pick up the pieces and replace the popular independent radio station. The void, to me, was to massive and the hope that creatives would have a new place to go to disappeared.  WVMR: A place for talent like Baller Brown to show how nasty they are on the mic So while that never came to fruition, I still hoped that the hundreds of independent artists, podcasters, radio show hosts and etc. would eventually find a new home to continue this fight to the top within this entertainment industry. Once upon a time not long ago... this was my dollar and a dream I t's interesting, before I even thought of writing this I had to take a long look in the mirror... The reality is, I have over 15+ years in this business either as a blogger, events host, music director, radio station owner, podcaster and artist manager and none of that means shit to the current climate.
