Most people celebrate their birthday either with family, friends at a club, or something typical. But for former multi-time Voiceless Music Awards winner Meko Sky , birthday's are another reminder why he's The Boy . With 665 in the rear view, and his 5th untitled album in development and on the way, the Bronx native continues to perplex the average rap fan with his signature euphonic tone.  Making sure the masses understand, Meko drops this well versed new single in only a way he could push. In a world full of trap rap and 'sped up' beats, there has been little room for other genres of music to grow and develop to the masses. And while most of the New York music scene is being a 'munch', Bronx native  Meko Sky  continues to maintain his essence as one of the prolific rap soul artists in the industry today. Alongside him, rising star  Nala Jay  has also carved out her R&B career nicely as she continues to impress since coming on the scene with "Cruisin" earlier this year.  And with  665  and Butterfly EP   still in heavy rotation, and  Meko  and  Nala  continue to put the love in the music first. Gradually building a resume only comparable to his 2018 run on the independent music scene in New York, Meko Sky has returned to his rightful place as one of the premier artists in the game. And as he continues to build upon his reign as former Voiceless Music Awards ' MC Of the Year.  But right behind him is a rising star in Nala Jay who, while having the experience early in her career to become a star, has stepped into her lead role since "Crusin'" dropped earlier this year. First previewed on our owner's Make The Caul podcast episode title Make The Sky/Make The Ei8th , the Bronx native has re-invigorated his sound into a more 'heartbreak  Drake '-like vibe especially with this single and it's perfectly corresponding visual.  The world is all f'ed up... don't get stuck in those "4 Walls"...

And once again, “The Boy” from Jackson Ave has arrived once again to establish his spot as independent music’s rarity in a room full of trap rap. Laced with something that feels like it’s straight out of a DC television show, Meko Sky throws on the cowl and delivers with a gritty cadence we’ve haven’t heard in a long time from him. Then add in the dark tones of the birthplace of Hip-Hop in the visual and you get what is sure to be the undertone of his soon to be next project. Meko Sky has been oddly quiet for the past year since dropping his anticipated mainstream-heavy project, Thx 4 Listening . But the former multi-time Voiceless Music Awards winner has not taken the hiatus lightly, even with a pandemic. The same can be said for a heavy hitter in his own right, another former  multi-time Voiceless Music Awards winner Kony Brooks . So with "H&H" already a sultry banger off the Bronx native off the album, adding a sprinkle of lyrical innuendos from Kony has made this one repeat-worthy remix. Yesterday,  Voiceless Music  boss  DJ Mainstream  once again continued to get the underground music scene talking as he release the next two of the seven upcoming video announcements of the 14 categories for the  2019 Voiceless Music Awards ! Featuring the  SQUAD of the Year ... Voiceless Music  once again looks to be the talk of the town with the assistance of  Every Dollar Counts  own  Notes  developing these videos. Yes, this one is personal to me. Well outside help pushing the song that didn't even make the album, Distance , Meko Sky went all in on making himself the most diverse person on the underground music scene, Thx 4 Listening places him firmly in a lane of his own. Throughout his time on radio on WVMR , Meko Sky promised a new more diverse artist on this project and he definitely gave that, as present on "Sorry" which he gives a full reason why not only this project took so long but what to expect... and "Road" solidified that. Bar for bar, Meko & Hookz Murdock showed some very interesting chemistry and dynamic not only great for this album but also makes you clamor for more. Today is a national holiday for Ei8th Productions and what better way to celebrate it with a new single from the remix king,   Meko Sky .  Today, Meko drops a new single called Distance, designed by  DJ Tiff Dollaz , to keep his crowd waiting on his next project, "Thanks 4 Listening". What do we expect on this new project? We don't know, but we can definitely give some insight on his single.  The Bronx artist decided to take the Underground Drake approach on his latest song, "Distance". Announced on DJ Mainstream 's Facebook live, it looks like our boss is priming for a Winter release of his mixtape, The Voice of The Voiceless. So with the 2018 Voiceless Music Awards on the way, it seems the show is getting nothing but promo from all the nominated artists ready to win the indie version of the Grammy's.  But for today's featured artists, that vibe is completely different due to their closeness with the Voiceless Music general. On July 28, 2018, we make history. Voiceless Music  presents  The Annual Independent Summertime  concert:  Voicelesspalooza  live at  Amazura Nightclub  in Queens, New York! But before the major event takes place, we are here to announce who will take part of this historic all-day festival! Last Friday, the  Road to Voicelesspalooza took place at  Tavern Lounge and started one of four pitstops on our way to Amazura Nightclub  on July 28th, 2018! Hosted by Leek (of Zoo Tuesdays) and Vianca Bentley (of Loud Silence Radio), and judged by Voiceless Music Awards 2017 MC of The Year Meko Sky , T.U.C. Radio's Iman Marie and Zeeker Gang Live's Pop Da Bully, 12 of the top independent artists all battled looking for one thing... a slot at Voicelesspalooza !  And the winner is...
