T.O.N.Y. (Kice and Varn Curtis) - God Did Freestyle

Kice and Varn Curtis , more commonly known as T.O.N.Y. have been on a helluva run since the start of 2022. And with 2023 coming in a mere month, it seems the duo doesn't look to slow down as they continue to bless us with music. Yes, we say blessed because it coincides with today's feature fresh from the studio. With DJ Khaled 's latest album once again earning Grammy consideration, it's the mega single "God Did" that has gained 3 nominations alone from the Academy. Using the full 6+ minutes to speak their peace, Varn and Kice give you one of their longest recorded freestyles since the duo first came together. Will Grammy noms be in their future? If it happens, you can rest assure they'll say "God Did" too... check out T.O.N.Y 's freestyle below.

T.O.N.Y. (Varn Curtis & Kice) - Die For It

Some of the best duos in music have been the combination of great producers and even better artists. At it's core, it's the staple of a ever growing, ever changing music industry. And at their core, Varn Curtis and Kice , better known as T.O.N.Y. has kept their names as THE best duo out now. And it's hard to argue with that. With a couple mixtapes and EP's in the archives, and a hit visual out, the Jackets In July combo does look to slow their pace. With another mixtape, Motown , in the chamber, T.O.N.Y. drops this clever rendition to a Hip-Hop classic. Defining themselves as indie mainstays with their 10th single release in the past 2 months, check out "Die For It" below. T.O.N.Y. · Die For It - T.O.N.Y.

T.O.N.Y. (Varn Curtis & Kice) - The Big Bang (Official Music Video)

There's nothing like building good chemistry with a artist and a producer. Some of the most herald duos have been the team of a talented MC on the mic and diverse beat smith on the boards.  But not looking to be compared to anyone, the team of T.O.N.Y comprised of Varn Curtis and Kice are back at it as Jackets In July is on heavy rotation since it's release earlier this Fall. And to celebrate, the tag team digs in the crates for this single and gives us nothing but 2010 106 & Park  vibes for their latest video.  Big chop shop energy for this visual to "The Big Bang". Check it out below.

T.O.N.Y. (Varn Curtis & Kice) - Johnny P's Caddie (Freestyle)

Queens gets the money. That's a given. But the largest borough in New York also houses some of the most talented artists across several towns, across several genres... it's become a hub of aptitude for the industry. One of Queens' celebrated son's, Varn Curtis , and super producer/artist  Kice continues to ride the hot wave of 2022 as he proceeds to dominate this calendar year like no other. Already 3+ projects in, the T.O.N.Y MC  shows no signs of slowing down as today he releases his almost double digit freestyle within this year. Another artist whose been on this same frenetic pace is the incomparable Benny The Butcher . Striking fear with every bar, his latest, "Johnny P's Caddie" alongside J. Cole , has proven Benny not only has staying power but has the fortitude to rhyme with the greats. Looking to prove he can do the same, Varn gets on his braggadocios vibe with a freestyle to the aforementioned track. Check out Kice & Varn Curtis ' ...

Varn Curtis x Kice - Purple Rain Freestyle

It's almost the end of the year and in turn, the end of the 4 Quarter for music artists. As we've begun the holiday season, some artists have geared to releasing holiday music or focusing on the releases for upcoming new year. Not Varn Curtis though.    If you let Varn Curtis tell it, and by the look of his numbers here on Voiceless Music statistically, 2021 was his best year overall as a artist. Between project releases, freestyles, singles, and   merch , the Queens, New York native refuses to slow down as he plans to end this year on a high note. Proof of that is today's feature, which clearly shows Curtis , and fellow artist Kice , is not looking to let up with the pressure as they take on a classic record... shit even the cover art is fire! As we await what 2022 has in store, check out the Dime Bag Don's latest and last release of this year, "Purple Rain Freestyle" below. Purple Rain Freestyle feat Kice by Varn Curtis

Voiceless Midnight: Varn Curtis - Chicago (Official Music Video)

Varn Curtis is riding high, literally. Between the releases of Roll Another One and Bongs, Blunts, and Bitches , the long standing Voiceless Music feature continues to put his name on the map as one of the hardest working men in indie rap game today.  But the Dime Bag Don continues to not be complacent after just releasing Queenz Kidz , is now digging in the crates and traveling back to 2 years ago, when Hungry Happy Sleepy EP was buzzing across the airwaves. So taking one of the most popular tracks off the album, the Queens native now brings this Southside Jamaica stoner sound to visual form with today's new visual. For the first time in a few months, and the 2nd Voiceless Midnight in one year (a first for a Voiceless Music featured artist), check out the video to "Chicago" below.

Varn Curtis - Queenz Kidz (EP Review)

The home to some of the legends of the game... Nas, LL Cool J.. but you know this already. Queens, New York has been one of the most continuously slept on boroughs in all of New York. Now maybe I am severely bias due to the fact I call Jamaica Queens my home, but there's nothing like the biggest boro in the Big Apple. One other person who definitely shares the love for this city is none other than Varn Curtis . A man whose yet to slow down after already accumulating 2 projects in the matter of 6 months,  Varn strikes again with a 4 track light work alongside Lue Gates titled  Queenz Kidz. From setting up the day with "Favorite Moves", to repping his birthplace with "New York New York" and back again with "What You Been Told", Curtis ' focus remains on being your guide throughout Queens County. But it's that kickstarter track, the big ode "#QGTM" that literally names all the 'spots' to hit and have a good time (sometimes) th...

On the East Coast it’s 4:20pm, and in many circles throughout the globe it could mean it’s 40 minutes away from the end of the work day and the beginning of the weekend… or it means the official time of  “roll that shit, light that shit” . So for those who aren’t attentive to the unofficial toke time, this anthem ain’t for you. But for those who always need a soundtrack with their sour or a theme song for there tangerine kush , Varn Curtis definitely have you covered. As he continues to map out his domination of 2021 with two projects in the universe, the Dime Bag Don prepares us with the visual from the hit single off his second effort, Roll Another One . Making a special delivery with the skunk , the Queens MC hits different with “Dopeman”. Check it out below.

Voiceless Midnight: Varn Curtis - So High (feat. A.W.O.L) (Official Music Video)

It's been a minute since we dropped a Voiceless Midnight , but if we gonna put out some fire for the 12am hour... we might as well have a blunt in hand.  With two projects, Bongs Blunts & Bitches and Roll Another One , gaining critical acclaim, the Dime Bag Don  is back at it in an effort to continue to apply pressure in 2021. Putting his first single off the aforementioned EP on display, along with some light acting skills, Varn is two Ls away from making the wrong move with shorty... or is he right where the patron of the puff right where he wants to be? Either way, you decide in tonight's late night drop of the A.W.O.L. assisted "So High". Check it out below.

Varn Curtis & OS Arcade - Roll Another One (Album Review)

Remember that feeling when you got Iron Man & XO Man-O-War in a video game together? Old head shit we know. But this, this is that feeling.   Introducing lo-fi beats extraordinaire  OS Arcade and re-introducing Varn Curtis , as together they drop off Roll Another One for your listening pleasure.  Fresh off his first effort,  Bongs Blunts & Bitches , Varn has continued to tap in to what we call ‘loud pack rap’ which lines up    like a fresh Bluntville with OS Arcade ’s sound.   Let’s start with this “Intro”. So the world knows, recreational marijuana is legal in New York City. Cases closed.  Now that we got the Raw papers out the pack, we continue to roll up with the basic but necessary anthem “DopeMan” as Varn reaches into his inner Afroman with a simple ode to... well, himself. And while we enjoyed the Jo$e Zavala featured, auto tuned laced “West End” and the clever “Say No To Drugs”, we cannot end this review without highl...

Varn Curtis - Bongs, Blunts and Bitches (EP Review)

Varn Curtis has been a staple of Voiceless Music since our inception almost a decade ago, and since then he's stayed involved in the ever changing music business as much as we have and we can't be more proud. So as 2021 comes in the picture, so does the East Coast MC who now looks to put this year on his back with his new EP, Bongs, Blunts and Bitches . For the Groundwork general this album had a central focus: the girls and the ganja. That range from the Cali vibe Varn delivers with "PreRoll" to the almost Afroman-like aura he ends the project with "Light Another Blunt".  But the lead single, "So High" featuring A.W.O.L. was the right choice to push this EP. Styles P comparisons aside, Curtis delivers us a laid back, fun but simplistic track that can only serve better if (and when) we get a accompanying visual. All in all, even with "So High" in several radio rotations, the Queens-bred MC has started 2021 on the right foot. Let's s...
